The new Diamante Golf course in Los Cabos just may be the best golf course in all of Mexico. Bold statement, I know - but quite worthy of it. Spectacular is only one of many well deserved adjectives for Diamante Cabo and the overall service and quality of the entire facility. Once again, the designer Davis Love and Diamante Golf have given us one more reason to come to Mexico to play golf. Diamante golf course recently opened in July 2009; the property is located on the sand dunes of the Pacific Ocean which allowed Davis Love to create a course that feels as though you are playing Bandon Dunes and Turnbury in Scotland on the same day. * All of our Los Cabos Golf Packages are 10% OFF until March 1st, 2011 !! This is a fun but sometimes difficult, course for the average player and a true test for the low handicap golfer. The course begins with a testing par five that can be reached in two by the long hitters. Number five requires a tee shot of 230 yards to carry a deep arroyo and uphill second a shot to a green tucked behind an other deep arroyo. A par here is like a birdie! From 80 feet up you have a twenty mile view of the ocean and the 12th green which is 200 yards away with the wind blowing. Hit this green and you deserve a free lunch!

The seventh, a long par five looks down from an elevated tee to narrow fairway that has a 150 foot deep canyon the entire length of the hole. A carry of 235 yards over an arroyo to an elevated green is necessary to have a chance at a par three on the eighth hole. The Mountain nine is the most difficult of the three. You can make an eagle on the par five 4th but it requires a long drive over water and a second shot over more water to a narrow green. The 5th hole is one of the most challenging par fours in Cabo. A double carry over an other deep arroyo may give you a chance at par.

The fifth hole is ranked as one of the top 100 par fours in the world. In our opinion the 210 yard par three seventh hole, from the championship tees with the wind in your face deserves a similar ranking. Next is the eighth hole which normally plays 430 yards in to the wind. The second shot may be a five iron or a three wood across an arroyo to an angular green that is well bunkered. This is the toughest par four in Los Cabos. Of course you finish your round on 16, 17 & 18 which Mr. Nicklaus calls "the best three finishing holes in the world". Wow!!
